Stoked!
I've always had a love of good typography, whether it be a nicely designed typeface, or simply a unique font that evoked an emotion in the person viewing it. This project is my first foray into the world of type design.
I wanted to create something fun, energetic, and that reminded me of the summertime. Using a known typeface as a base starting point, I redrew the letters adding a little bit of flair to them using only straight edges for each glyph, and elements found while researching old surf movie posters from the 60's. The result is something familiar, but with a slight twist.
